Digital Evenings

During the 2006-7 season, we held meetings once a month to discuss Digital Photography, and also held a number of courses for smaller groups, covering the use of digital equipment and associated computer software. The Digital Imaging / IT subcommittee would like to know how members would like these evenings to develop over the coming season.  For the Digital Evenings, there are 3 possibilities under consideration -

  1. Talks and Demonstrations by club members, similar to last seasons sessions
  2. Discussions of members work, either as submitted to the digital competitions, or bought along for the digital evenings
  3. 'Hands on' evenings, where members use the equipment provided.

Note that these are not mutually exclusive, and some mix of these options is possible. Any other ideas would be welcomed. An additional charge ( £2/night last year ) is made to cover the cost of room hire for the digital forum.

We would also appreciate an indication of likely demand for digital photography courses over the coming year.
